Starting off with the phones, Microsoft announced two phones during its NYC event: the Microsoft Lumia 950 and the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL.

The Lumia 950 and 950 XL are the first smartphones to run Windows 10, with Microsoft committing to the promise of letting people use the same software across its phones, tablets, PCs and video game console.

The Lumia 950 and 950 XL also has 32GB of storage on the phone, which is expandable with microSD cards. The new Lumias will also have support for the Continuum feature of Windows 10, which can turn the phone into a PC, by allowing support for a mouse and keyboard, either through Bluetooth or a spcial adaptor

The Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are scheduled to hit the shelves in November 2015, for price of $549 for the 950 and $649 for the 950 XL. In the USA, availability seems to be restricted to AT&T for the 950, although both the phones are expected to be available from Microsoft directly too

The Lumia 950 comes with octacore and hexacore processors and liquid cooling technology. The smaller version has a 5.2-inch display, while the bigger cousin features a 5.7-inch display. These are OLED displays with a pixel density of 564 ppi and 518 ppi respectively.

The Lumia 950 and the XL versions run 20-megapixel cameras with a natural flash. Like on the iPhone 6s, both can shoot 4K video and include fifth-generation optical image stabilization technology and a dedicated camera button
