AT&T on Thursday announced that it is expanding its unlimited data plan offering to all customers. Starting tomorrow, The new unlimited plan is aimed at competing with similar offerings recently announced by Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint

The AT&T unlimited plan will cost $100 for the first line plus $40 for each additional line, AT&T said. Buying a fourth line will provide a $40 credit, reducing the monthly price to $180. The credit doesn't begin right away, so four-line plans cost /month until the credit kicks-in.

AT&T said after 22GB of data usage, it may slow speeds during periods of network congestion, which is becoming pretty standard with these type of plans.

AT&T Unlimited offers unlimited calls from the United States to Canada and Mexico, as well as unlimited texting to 120 countries

The plan doesn't include hotspot data. You'll have to pay extra if you want to tether your phone's connection to another device.

AT&T's pricing of $180 is after a $40 credit for the fourth smartphone line, which will start after two billing periods. Prior, customers will pay $220 per month for the unlimited plan.
