Apple to Invest $2.7 Billion in LG Display to OLED Panels for Future iPhones

According to a new report out of South Korea today, Apple will invest $2.7 billion in a new OLED production facility with LG Display. The investment will basically serve as an advance payment for said OLED panels to be manufactured in the future

Apple will be making an advance payment to LG and in return, it will be securing 45,000 units of LG 6.5 generation OLED panel on a monthly basis from 2019.
