Apple launched the iPad Pro (Apple Pencil and all) at the start of last month, the trail has gone a bit cold for the tablet come laptop wannabe. Cupertino has not said when the device will launch, but a report out of Japan points to an early November launch for the iPad Pro, with the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard landing at the same time.
When Apple announced iPad Pro in September, the company did not specify an exact sales date, in lieu saying the giant slate would ship sometime in "November." Apple's official webpages for iPad Pro & its accompanying accessory lineup are still showing "Available November," no alter from last month.
The iPad Pro’s 12.9-inch screen has a resolution of 2,732 x 2,048 pixels, which is the highest resolution on any iPad. The large tablet is surprisingly thin and light at 6.9mm thin and 1.57 pounds. It’s powered by an A9X processor and comes with either 32 or 128GB of storage
Apple is introducing an advanced stylus called Apple Pencil that works together with specialized iPad hardware to select tilt & pressure. The method allows users to employ natural drawing motions to accomplish lifelike onscreen renditions of brush, pen & pencil strokes.
Apple is also marketing a keyboard/cover accessory called Clever Keyboard that attaches to iPad Pro by the new Clever Connector port. The keyboard supports iOS 9 shortcuts for app switching, text entry, app control & more
The Smart Keyboard cover, which features a full-size QWERTY layout and is just 3.2mm thin. A proprietary new connector replaces the Bluetooth connectivity on Apple’s previous wireless keyboards for iPad.
The Wi-Fi only version of the iPad Pro will be priced at $799 (32GB) and $949 (128GB). The Wi-Fi+ Cellular version will be offered with 128GB of internal memory only, for $1079. Color options are gold and silver. The Apple Pencil will cost you $99, with the Smart Keyboard tagged at $169.
