Setting up your Verizon Online Email account in email software. Select to set up your email software automatically or use step-by-step instructions. Verizon has recently updated our email client settings to improve security.Review the settings below to verify that your email software client has the most recent configuration.

Before you begin Verizon Email Settings:

● You will need the following email settings:
● Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net
● Incoming Server Port Numbers: 995
● Outgoing Server Port Numbers: 465 with SSL preferred (or 587 with TLS)
● Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net
● Make sure SSL encryption is enabled for the incoming and outgoing mail server.

Select your email software:

Authenticate your Verizon Account Name and Password


● Go to Tools - Accounts
● Click on the "Mail" tab
● Click on your account then on the "Properties" button
● Click on the "Server" tab
● At the bottom, check the "My Server Requires Authentication" box
● Click the "Settings" button
● Click the "Log On Using" radio button
● Enter your VERIZON ACCOUNT NAME AND PASSWORD here
● Click Ok, Ok, Close
Settings can be used to setup email on your desktop and smartphone devices.
